The Bible records 7 as the number of completion concerning God’s people. Modern Israel was formed miraculously after being out of the Land for 1900 years in 1948. Since then Israel has been attacked by Islamic nation-states 4 times: 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973. There has been constant conflict and incrusions from terrorist organizations - but these are not nation states. The Scripture predicts two horrible Wars before the end: WWIII (Ezekiel 38/39) and Armagedon (Zecharia 14). There is only one war that is not historical or at the End, and the stage is now being set, the Iran-Israeli War. This will occur between now and 2012 I believe. When I met Dr. John McTernan last year in Tampa at the Prophesy Conference and we discussed this, he showed me the chapter in his book that dealt with this. Up to that time, I did not think any other prophetic scholars had accurately realized what was forming in the Middle East - right before our eyes ( http://www.defendproclaimthefaith.org.html ). BTW, his historical and completely documented parallels between modern Israel and the USA will amaze you (As America Goes…)
